A combined 2D numerical-analytical algorithm for electromagnetic (EM) fields computation in one-counter waveguides with arbitrary cross section is proposed. The developed algorithm is employed to investigate the influence of the normalized propagation constant and dielectric loading on the field distribution in a rectangular T-septum waveguide with an E-plane dielectric insert. Gas-liquid flow in serpentine microchannel with different surface properties exhibits drastically different flow behavior.With water and air as working fluids,the method of numerical simulation was adopted in this paper based on CLSVOF (coupled level set and volume of fluid method) multiphase model.After verifing the reasonability of the model through experiment,by changing wall properties and Re number (Re < 1500),the influences of contact angle and surface roughness on flow regime and Po number were discussed.Moreover,the difference of pressure drop between curve and straight microchannel was also calculated.Beyond that,the combined effect of curve channel and wall properties on flow resistance was analyzed.This paper finds that wall properties have great influence on gasliquid flow in microchannels not only on flow regime but also flow characteristics.Meanwhile,the pressure drop in curve microchannels is larger than straight.It is more beneficial for fluid flowing when the straight part of microchannel is hydrophilic smooth wall and curve part is hydrophobic with large roughness.  相似文献

We demonstrated the feasibility of using a holographic waveguide imager for eye tracking. A holographic waveguide placed in front of the eye was used to capture images of the anterior segment of the eye and to guide the images to a camera distant from the eye. The pupil centre (PC) and corneal reflection (CR) of the eye was used to compute eye position. A custom-built model eye was used to validate the prototype eye tracker. A linear relationship between the angular eye position and the PC/CR vector was found over 60 horizontal degrees and 40 vertical degrees. The tracking accuracy and precision were 0.72 degree and 0.50 degree over these tracking ranges. These results confirmed that holographic waveguide could be a viable platform for developing compact, wearable, see-through eye trackers that can continuously monitor eye movements during real life tasks and thus can facilitate diagnosis of oculomotor disorders.  相似文献

Understanding the interaction between valuable and gangue minerals is of both fundamental and practical importance in the field of flotation. In this study, we investigated the interactions between valuable (i.e. pentlandite) and gangue minerals (i.e. serpentine, olivine, and magnesite) in an aqueous solution by directly measuring the zeta potential distributions. In addition, interaction force measurements using an atomic force microscope (AFM) were performed between a silicon nitride tip and gangue mineral surfaces, and the classical Derjaguin–Landau–Verwey–Overbeek (DLVO) theory was used to fit the interaction force between the silicon nitride tip and gangue mineral surfaces. In the case of serpentine and pentlandite mixture system at pH 10.1, only a single zeta potential distribution was obtained, as compared to two distinct distributions for the two individual minerals, indicating an attractive interaction is present between the two minerals. For olivine and pentlandite mixture system, a single distribution with two distinct spikes was obtained in the zeta potential distribution of the mixture, indicating repulsive interaction between the two minerals. Similarly, a single distribution with two distinct spikes was also observed in the zeta potential distribution of magnesite and pentlandite mixture system, indicating repulsive interaction between the two minerals. Repulsive interaction between silicon nitride tip and olivine surface, and slight attractive interaction between silicon nitride tip and magnesite surface, were observed and consistent with the DLVO model. The zeta potential and AFM force measurements show good agreement regarding the surface charge properties and interactions of the minerals, and provide complementary information and new insights into the interaction mechanism of valuable and gangue minerals.  相似文献

A novel implantable coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed crossed bowtie antenna is proposed for short-range biomedical applications. The antenna is designed to resonate at 2.45 GHz, one of the industrial-scientific-medical (ISM) bands. It is investigated by use of the method of moments design equations and its simulation software (IE3D version 15). The size of the antenna is 371.8 mm3 (26 mm × 22 mm × 0.65 mm). The simulated and analyzed return losses are −23 and −25 dB at the resonant frequency of 2.45 GHz. We have analyzed some more performances of the proposed antenna and the results show that the proposed antenna is a perfect candidate for implantation. The proposed antenna has substantial merits like low profile, miniaturization, lower return loss and better impedance matching with high gain over other implanted antennas.  相似文献

微波隔离器是微波系统中不可或缺的器件,常见的隔离器都采用了铁氧体旋磁材料配合吸收负载实现电磁波的单向传输。这种器件虽然可以使电磁波单向传输,但是并不能改善能量的浪费问题,还增加了系统的复杂度。针对上述问题,本文基于电磁超材料设计了一种微波单向传输的圆波导,使用波导内壁涂覆折射率逐渐变化的材料来影响电磁波的传输特性,从而实现电磁波单向传输。本文给出了微波单向传输的电磁计算模型和超材料结构及属性,并通过简化这种超材料使其易于实现;最后通过电磁仿真分析了这种材料的电磁特性并给出了这种材料的实现方法。  相似文献

This paper investigates the interaction of the SH0 mode with discontinuities in plate waveguides. The scattered fields are evaluated using a novel method that exploits the principle of reciprocity in elastodynamics. The results obtained compare to those provided by a finite element model. Very good agreement between the analytical and numerical models proves the effectiveness of the proposed approach, enabling us to clearly elucidate the role of the different size and shape parameters involved. The discontinuities considered are single and double sharp reductions of plate height of different amounts and lengths, where both symmetric and nonsymmetric one-sided notch cases are treated. Regimes related to low and high values of the product frequency and height of the plate are investigated, showing the dependence of reflection and transmission coefficients on length and height of the discontinuity, as well as the occurrence of mode conversion. The analytical approach proposed leads to a better understanding of the interaction of guided waves with discontinuities, which may stimulate the application of guided waves to defect sizing rather than to simple detection.  相似文献

In this article, a method is presented to reduce the side lobe level of slotted waveguide array antennas while the gain to be constant. In this method, the H‐plane dimension of the waveguide is considered as the variable rather than constant. The nonuniformity of waveguide walls obviates the need for offset of slots and thereby reduces the side lobe level of radiation pattern. Alkaline aluminum phosphate glasses (NMAP) with excellent chemical durability for thermal ion-exchanged optical waveguide have been designed and investigated. The transition temperature Tg (470 °C) is higher than the ion-exchange temperature (390 °C), which is favorable to sustain the stability of the glass structure for planar waveguide fabrication. The effective diffusion coefficient De of K+–Na+ ion exchange in NMAP glasses is 0.110 μm2/min, indicating that ion exchange can be achieved efficiently in the optical glasses. Single-mode channel waveguide has been fabricated on Er3+/Yb3+ doped NMAP glass substrate by standard micro-fabrication and K+–Na+ ion exchange. The mode field diameter is 9.6 μm in the horizontal direction and 6.0 μm in the vertical direction, respectively, indicating an excellent overlap with a standard single-mode fiber. Judd–Ofelt intensity parameter Ω2 is 5.47 × 10−20 cm2, implying a strong asymmetrical and covalent environment around Er3+ in the optical glasses. The full width at half maximum and maximum stimulated emission cross section of the 4I13/2  4I15/2 are 30 nm and 6.80 × 10−21 cm2, respectively, demonstrating that the phosphate glasses are potential glass candidates in developing compact optoelectronic devices. Pr3+, Tm3+ and Ho3+ doped NMAP glasses are promising candidates to fabricate waveguide amplifiers and lasers operating at special telecommunication windows.  相似文献
